New and exicting things happening!

Random things are getting done these days. We made decisions on the cake and food, which I am very happy about! The newest project: centerpieces! This is the most fun for me :). Our style is very antique, vintage, distressed and it is all coming together so well! Here are the pictures of what we are doing!

So mason jars, with ribbon wrapped around it, and Derrick's mom is growing the flowers for us!
Then, on each table, we are have 1-3 black and white pictures in different groupings. For example- one table will have pictures of zoey, one will have pictures of when we first started dating, one will have childhood pictures etc.
I found these potpourri things and I just loved them! So, we are sprinkling these on each table as well!

I also wanted to post a better picture of the ceremony decorations:

They will hang like this off of the gazebo!

Thats what I have going on as of now...its slowly but surely coming together! It is 5 months away next week and that is scary but I cannot wait to marry my best friend :)

The latest and greatest...

Ok, here we are, 5 1/2 months out. I am kinda in a slow spot, because all the big stuff is done, and we have to wait to get other things done when it gets a little closer. I did however, find this gorgeous birdcage veil that I am thinking about ordering.

I love the vintage feel of it!

Also, another big thing we are working on is making decisions about the cake. cupcakes or tiered cake, that is the question? both have pros and cons....

I love this white on white cake and the natural elements...but I like that with cupcakes we don't have to worry about cutting it all up....
Flavors are the other thing... we want to do flavors that everyone will like, but Derrick and I like so many! Hmm..decisions decisions...

Alright, well I guess that is all for now....Any ideas/ advice??

Recent Projects

I love being crafty! In fact, throwing myself into all these projects have really helped me relax and it has given me some much needed alone time. As I get into all this, I am getting more and more excited because I am seeing the wedding come alive in front of me. Here is just a glimpse of my recent stuff and my  thoughts on  how everything is going to come together:

So, I saw tissue paper flower pomanders online and created a bunch of them. They will be hanging at different lengths from the top front of the gazebo where the ceremony will take place. Then, on either side, they will be 4 long ribbons hanging from the corners.

Below is the bouquets for the flower girl (left) and the bridesmaids. I really wanted the flower girl to feel very whimsical so hers is made from tissue paper. They both have ribbon loops on the top to hold them with.

These are the boutonnieres. The far left is for Derrick, then the groomsmen and then the dads. Derrick will be wearing a black tux with ivory top; groomsmen black tuxes with purple vests and dads black tuxes with blue vests.
I was SO inspired by this lovebirds display  that I found online so I created my own! we will be having pictures of our parents and grandparents on, or close to, their wedding days, hanging on the clothes line.

I still have a lot I am working on, but hopefully you can all see how awesome this wedding is going to be! I can't wait!!
